Departure for The Black Order

Here, Eva. -David smiled , holding out a hand. A small white furrball curled up in his palm.- I want you to havehim while I'm gone, I know you two will take good care of eachother. -He stood back up from his position of kneeling down to be at level with his sister, swinging the pack over his shoulder. His face fell.- I'm sorry I can't be there for you. But, there's something I have to do. . . I know you'll end up hating me when you're much older. I know you can handle this. . You're strong. -He said this solemnly.-

-Blinked, given a small furrball which was known as Shuu. She held the creature close to her chest. Her eyes welled up with tears, lower lip trembling.- Big Brother. . . -Thirteen-year-old Evalynn murmured in a choking mutter. She didn't want him to leave. Not now. He was the only one she had left.-

-He sighed heavily, squinting his eyes shut. Turning his back to the younger sibling. David's right fist clenched. Wondering what the -hell- he was thinking. He wanted to take her with him. But, it would be too dangerous for her, he couldn't bear losing her too. This seemed the only option.-

-David bit into the corner of his lower lip, fighting the urge to cry. He didn't want Eva to see him like this. Shuu would protect her, he has his ways doing so. She would be fine. . . .- I'm. . Sorry. . . -He murmured. Starting to walk away, boots heavily dragging across the dirt.-

-Evalynn whimpered, clenching Shuu to her whilst he let out a small yelp. She just stared at her brother ahead, watching him walk further and further away from her.- Big. . Brother. . . -She shut her own eyes, before breaking out into a run for him.- Don't leave! Big Brother! Take me with you! -She choked out between sobs. She tried keeping up with him, eventually she ended up tripping on her own two feet.-

-Evalynn coughed a bit, her chest burning. Small frame shaking. She just watched him go, tears streaming down her now dirtied cheeks from her fall in the dust.- David. . . -She murmured, bowing her head as she started to cry silently.-

-Shuu hopped up onto the sobbing girl's shoulder, nuzzling his tiny body to her cheek in an attempt to lift her spirits. Tears also forming in his beady little eyes. He looked away. Not bearing the sight of his former master walking away.-

Two Years Later. . . .

-Breathed in through her nose, exhaling rather loudly through her mouth.- Well. . I'm almost finished packing. -She murmured to herself, folding the last of her skirts and placing them(more like stuffing them) into her back back, which looked like it was going to overflow. She then smiled, zipping the bag up, having to fight with it every now and again.- There! -She piped happily.-

-Evalynn noticed something. . Something was missing. Oh!- Shuu! Get your butt down here, will ya'!? -She shouted up the stairs, growing irritated.-

-Shuu stared at a picture for a while, expression sad. He then snapped out of it. Grumbling.- I am coming, yeesh, I can't a peace and quite for five minutes!?

Nope!! -She shouted back, grinning.- Now get down here! I'm ready to go! Unless you want me to leave you here!

Alright! Oi! -Shuu took one last look at the picture of Evalynn, David, and thier mother in a family portrait. David was giving his sister a noogie, while she whined and looked toward their mother for help. Their mother only gave an exasperated smile. This was taken when Evalynn was twelve, and David got back from a mission for the Black Order. He was home for the weekend at that time.-

-He shook his head. Hopping off of the desk to meet the girl downstairs.-

-Rolled her eyes.- And just what were you doing? -She asked, not really caring much for an answer. She swung the backpack over her shoulder, wrapping her free hand around the knob to the front door.-

Hmph. -Was the creature's only response. before hopping up onto her shoulder before she opened the door.-

-Evalynn grinned, swinging the door open.- Welp! We're now on our way to the Black Order! -She shut the door behind her, bounding down the steps of her front porch, walking father away from her home. From those memories. From the pain when he left. . .-
