Name: Phoxalyn Rosenthal

Personality: Hyper at times, trusting, friendly, polite and nice but very numb to bad things or sad things, emotionally perceptive of others and is not afraid to be honest about his opinions or concerns, helpful to other people as a rule but refuses to let anyone bear his burdens.

History: Phoxalyn grew up in a family of doctors and had spent the first 15 years of his life expecting to follow in his family’s and more importantly his father’s footprints. His family, who were powerful in the town in which they lived, were very controlling over him and who he came into contact with and for the most part he was home schooled. Despite this he had a sunny disposition that made him seem almost naïve and weak. It made him a target for bullies in his posh neighborhood, so he learned how to take a punch and give one early on but for the most part he disliked fighting and preferred just spending time with people outside his family which was rare in and of itself.

All his life he’d only found two comforts, in books and in falling asleep looking at the only gift he believed his parents bought him out of love a small ornate cube which he felt connected to. It calmed him and body, mind, and soul.

On the fateful day when his whole life changed his father had been treating a terminally ill man, one who lived in the same posh neighborhood as his own family, and whose son was a stupid angry little wart who’d tried and succeeded, most times, in beating Phoxalyn to a bloody mess. The man died in the care of Phox’s father who’d been trying a radical surgery to remove his cancerous illness. The boy, enraged and grieving, turned his father into an akuma, with the help of the Earl, and set him to destroy the Rosenthal family. As he cowered watching his family slaughtered by this strange and terrifying beast, he wished with all his heart to live through this and the strength to fight the akuma when his childhood toy shone brightly and reacted with him. He killed the akuma in a blind rage and collapsed in the wreckage of his house surrounded by the corpses of his family until someone from the Black Order saved him from the nightmare he was surrounded by.


Innocence type: Weapon/Equipment type

Anti-Akuma Weapon: A dark black chain with an ornate archaic design emblazoned into it looking like it was forged within a fiery star of night itself. It is as indestructible as its master’s stamina and mental will are. It can extend about 15 meters from him in any direction and this number is expected to grow as he gains experience but as for now that is his maximum range with his control weakening the farther out he extends it. The chain ends in a heavy, pitch black, double edged, jagged blade with a handle only big enough for one hand. When he learns to, Phox could alter the size or shape of the chain’s end. For now in inactivated form it is a black intricate collar around his neck with a single link from the collar to a tiny decorative blade.
Innocence Technique(s):
Puppet chain: he can control the chain as if it were an extra appendage.
Chain armory:
Sword form – The chain wraps down his arm putting the handle of the blade in his hand. Because he controls the chain with his mind and his will, his blows are stronger and reactions are faster for that arm.
Twin sword form – same as the regular sword form but with both arms, this will be a later ability, I am thinking Phox will gain the use of more chains, up to, but not exceeding, eight, as he progresses.
Chain lance (Duel chain lance) form – Curls the chain around his arm letting him launch it forward as far as the chain unravels hitting any medium distance target with the blade. He can pull back his arm to ravel the chain back into a short lance.
Fluid shield – Taking the full force of an attack may be necessary at times but normally the chain will be in constant motion deflect blows at various angles to minimize the strain on its user’s mind.
Chain armor – the chain wraps around his legs and arms and because the chain is connected directly with his mind and his will. His will empowers normal physical attacks and his mind makes the chain move his body and react faster then his body normally would. Of course this is only when he can control 2 or more chains at once or else this is almost pointless.

Special Ability:
Nova blade: The blade becomes as hot as plasma without deforming or melting. It will slice/melt its way through most any object like warm butter. Phox can use the chain regularly but can also grab the blade end without fear of burning. With this ability he can only use his innocence for half as long so he uses it in short bursts to conserve strength.
