Why Now? Why Here? Why Me? -- Allen POV

I woke up, staring up at the ceiling of my room. It was dark, and I was all sweaty. My dream… Could it have been real? I idly thought about the dream as I tried to get the dream out of my head, playing connect the dots with the corners of the stones. As hard as I tried, the image of Mana wouldn’t leave my mind. I tried to always think of him as a promise, but it seemed like I was thinking of him more as a person as of lately. Not that he wasn’t a person, he most definitely was. He changed me more than any other person in the world, and even if I was the only person to say he was real, I know he was. The bad thing about thinking of him as a person was that thinking about him depressed me. Thinking of the man who worked so hard to raise a lost child, and what the lost child did in return… Did Mana ever think of the possibility that I wouldn’t be able to live without him if he disappeared?

I rolled over, having no desire to keep thinking about such things. I closed my eyes, trying to imagine breakfast when it was morning. I tried to imagine smelling the warm, fluffy buttermilk pancakes, covered in fresh maple syrup, with a couple strips of bacon on the side, but for some reason, I could see my reflection in the glittering syrup.

My eye was bleeding, like I’d just gotten my scar.

I was slowly walking to the cafeteria when Lavi came up behind me yawning. I slowly noticed the difference in his mood this morning.

“Hey, Allen,” he greeted me calmly. He seemed so tired this morning. Usually he came up behind me and started to put my hair into little pigtails. Today he was just walking beside me with purple shadows under his eyes.

“Hello, Lavi… Did you get much sleep last night?” I asked. He shook his head before I even finished my question.

“No… I was researching this stupid colony for the old man. He said he didn’t have to do it because he was old and needed his rest,” Lavi mumbled grumpily. He looked over to me. “You don’t look like you got much sleep either. Did you sleep with anybody?” He raised his eyebrows.

I should’ve known that even when tired out of his mind Lavi was still Lavi.

“Yeah, I definitely slept with someone last night. It was the best night of my life,” I said sarcastically in a monotone voice, being too lazy to use the ‘sarcasm’ tone. Lavi’s sunken eyes bulged and he almost fell over.

“Are you serious!? A freaking FIFTEEN year old had sex before me! This is crazy! Allen, you lucky bastard! How’d you do it?!” Lavi asked, suddenly full of energy. I blushed slightly, but was otherwise thinking, Lavi is officially an idiot. I sighed, laughing a little.

“Sarcasm, Lavi,” I said. I looked over at him and smirked. He narrowed his eyes at me. “Although it’s interesting that you’re a virgin. You say you’re ‘so good with the ladies’, why haven’t any of them slept with you then?” I smiled at him deviously, messing with him in turn for thinking I would sleep with someone right before a mission.

“ALLEN! You better not tell anyone! I swear… I swear I’ll chop off all your hair!” Lavi hissed, not able to think of anything better than cutting my hair off. Pffft! Aren’t Bookmen supposed to be smart? (I’m kidding, Lavi fan girls.)

....but you probably should have an extension to that scene though......Lavi just blurted that out and told Allen not to tell, even thought he just shouted all that in the cafeteria........lol....

......I wonder what'll happen when the two realize that everyone can hear them......lol....

Is it just me or did I make Allen's thoughts sound really boring and smart...? o:

.....oh...my bad.....misread a part, but either way, the hallways in that building tend to echo.....heh.....

...anyway....I could picture Allen acting like that after waking up........lol.....I dunno though....

TIONNE: Ruusu, that's not nice! *Smacks RUUSU with a paper fan* He didn't mean that, Lavi.
ME and ALLEN: *Sweatdrop*
ME: You're all idiots...
