Coffee Break

Kimiko stared at two a little longer, nodding at what Sparks was telling her. There sure was interesting people around here. An Akuma vampire and a time controller? The more she saw, the more she realized how amazing Innocence really was. And she was sure that she would DEFINITELY see more as she worked here.

She drank the rest of her coffee, sighed contently, and put the cup down on the table. She started to gather to now empty dishes to deliver them to Jerry. It was the least she could do.

"Oh, thank you," said Sparks in surprise when he realized Kimiko was bringing the dishes up, including his own.

*Now that they had a full stomach, they just needed to do one more thing before heading back. Rest their stomaches, and so, Sparks relaxed on the bench, waiting for Kimiko to return.

Kimiko brought the dishes over to Jerry, who was still grinning away. Setting them infront of him, she smile and spoke, "Thank you for the pie. It was delicious!" Jerry only smiled widely at her and replied, "You're very welcome, honey! You can have as much as you want~!"

Kimiko thanked Jerry again, and then walked back to the table where Sparks was sitting. She flattened out her long skirt before sitting down, then glanced over at Sparks. So...what now? she thought.

"I don't know about you, but I'm stuffed." spoke Sparks smiling.

Kimiko nodded, smiling back at him. "Yeah, same here. Is the food here always like this?"

"If you mean mouth-watering, then yeah. Well, except for the days Jerry is sick, then the cafe is deserted until he comes back. There's just no substitute." replied Sparks as he leaned back a bit, relaxing.

Kimiko relaxed as well, nodding her head in agreement. She'd never tasted anything so amazing. She felt quite at ease for some reason, and felt like she could go on doing...WHATEVER...for hours. Ah, the power of coffee.

"So Kimiko, what do you want to do -" Sparks was saying just as he noticed Nikola entering the cafeteria, "Nikolah, Duck!"

*No sooner than he loudly whispered this was he on all fours in an attempt to avoid the beast that was Nikola.*

"Eh?!" she looked around and upon seeing him frantically ducked, trying to hide herself. If she was caught here, she was totally screwed over. On her first day, too! She wasn't impressing him very much at the moment - she'd already been late.

She almost held her breath and was hoping that the huge man wouldn't come anywhere near the area where they were.

*Nikola walked to Jerry and appeared to be ordering some food. Sparks meanwhile, crawled over to Kimiko.*

"Ok. We'll be fine as long as we stay out of sight until he leaves." whispered Sparks trying to analyze the situation.

Kimiko nodded, glancing over at where Nikola was. She crawled a little further under the table, trying to make sure she was out of sight.

*Sparks started following her, but then he noticed people around them watching as they crawled. This was a public place after all. And because of this, he grabbed Kimiko's leg to stop her since the looks alone would cause suspicion.*

"I-I dropped my contact over here, not there." said Sparks aloud, but low enough so that it wouldn't travel far, hoping she would get the hint.

Kimiko blinked, slightly confused, but she got the hint. "Ah, right! I'll help you look!" she said aloud.

She also kicked him lightly as if to tell him "Let go of my leg."

She wasn't particularily fond of it, but he'd had to get her attention somehow.

*Sparks recoils at the kick but stays silent. He moves to the other side of the table where they wouldn't be easily seen by people.*

"Lets lay low here until he leaves," whispered Sparks as he looked to see what Nikola was doing.

Kimiko followed him, then sat as quietly as she could. She glanced over at Nikola again, hoping that the weird glances they were getting from people wouldn't give them away.

*Nikola had just finished his food and started walking....toward them. But it looked like he forgot something and headed toward the Condiment table.*

Sparks' eyes open wide, "Crap. I don't have enough stuff to bribe us out of this one. We got to try sneaking out of here."

*Sparks then started crawling along the edges of the wall, making sure to keep Nikola in sight.*

"Come on." Sparks whispered to Kimiko.

Kimiko hesitated for a split second, then followed Sparks, trying to be as quiet as possible. Maybe this had been a bad idea...

"Sparks-san? Do you do this a lot?" she whispered, looking back at Nikola.

*For some reason the questioned irked him, as though she were implying he was a trouble maker or something.*

"Yes, I always enjoy crawling around on all fours," replied Sparks sarcastically, "Just come on."

*Then Nikola, with his tray of stuff, started heading where Sparks and Kimiko were before.*

Kimiko resisted the urge to roll her eyes at him, and kept going.

When she noticed Nikola sit down where they had just been, she felt a little tense. She focused on getting farther away, just getting away in general.

How were they going to get out of this without Nikola seeing them?

*Sparks was already at the other wall. Now all they needed to do was get across the room and out the door. But Sparks realized something. The wide gap between the sets of tables would be a dead giveaway if they were to cross right away. Then he saw the door to Jerry's kitchen and heard heaven's bells and a golden light shine down upon it as though it were a sanctuary, though it just might have been temporary insanity brought about by stress, but he's sort it out later.*

"We'll be spotted if we try going across right now. Come on. Lets hide out in the kitchen until he leaves," Sparks whispered to Kimiko.

Kimiko nodded, looking over at Nikola and then over at the kitchen door. He had a point. This looked like their only option at the moment.

She shuffled closer to where the door was, looking back again at Nikola. She waited for the signal to go, and when she did go...she was getting out of there. Well, at least off of the floor. It wasn't too much fun crawling around, like Sparks had said.

*Sparks quietly opened the door and scurried in. The kitchen was huge, with pots and pans everywhere. The smell of the various aromas of food almost made his mouth water on contact. He turned around and waved Kimko in before shutting the door quietly.*

Kimiko hurried in, taking in the sudden smells of all the different ingrediants and foods. This place was HUGE, just like the rest of the Order. Well....that was normal. There were TONS of people here, and with people like that white-haired boy eating everyday....they would NEED the large kitchen!

She took a couple more steps in, then turned around to face Sparks.

*Sparks stood up now that the door was closed. It was much easier to move now.*

"That was close." Sparks whispered to Kimiko.

*Then he passed by her and poked his head around the corner to see what the inside of the kitchen was like. There had to be at least 20 things cooking at the same time, but no one worked there except for Jerry, but Sparks didn't see him anywhere. It was still pretty amazing to think about. 1 person making so much without any help.*

Kimiko peeked around the corner, and her eyes widened a little in amazement. There was so much cooking at one time...and it looked like no one else was here....where exactly was Jerry?

She poked around the corner a little more, being careful not to fully expose herself. She didn't want to get them caught right after they'd gotten away...for the time being.
