Medical Wing 4 - Innocence Wing

Kimiko opened her mouth to object, but kept silent. She might as well. It would be a good chance to know her way around the Order. She'd NEED to know her way around.

Everyone continued on their way, and they were all busy with their own work. Everyone had a part to play. She found it a bit amazing, and couldn't help but smile. This was definitely going to be an interesting experience and frankly, she couldn't wait for what was to come. She'd be fine without the pain and wounds and the sorrow - she'd had more than enough of that - but she really was looking forward to the friendships she may make. But for now, she'd just have to focus on her job. Help Masque, and treat the others. That was her duty at the moment.

Kimiko glanced back up at Sparks and with a hesitation in her voice, she asked, "Um, Sparks-san? Do you feel any better?" She really couldn't help but ask. Stress was a major factor that affected one's health, and you have to manage yourself properly or you would get sick.

Sparks answered with a slick grin on his face, "Thats whats the coffee's for."

Kimiko blinked, but smiled back at him. It seemed that she already had a lot to learn. Well, first of all, COFFEE WAS IMPORTANT.
She held back a giggle, wondering just what everyone else was like being jacked up on coffee.

*Sparks started heading toward the door leading to the security desk.*

He looked back and said, "Coming?"

Kimiko nodded, still smiling, and followed Sparks out. She looked back down the hall for a moment, then kept going.

*Sparks opened the door, and then they were at the security desk.*

"I'm going to be out for a break. Jacobs in charge until I get back." Sparks told the security guard.

"Ok, sir." he responded.

"Lets go." spoke Sparks to Kimiko as he started sneaking into the main lobby.

*Kaele glanced behind herself, watching the man named Sparks and the young nurse leave for coffee. She turned her attention back to Bookman, getting straight to buisness with his questions. Kaele wanted to listen in, but Oliver, who'd been quiet for so long, decided to open his mouth.*

"Jeez, when is this going to end? All the questions..." *He whispered to her, just loud enough that she couldn't hear what Bookman said.*

*Kaele narrowed her eyes at him.* "Shh!" *She scolded under her breath after a moment, trying to listen in.*

"Fine. Ask away," spoke Masque grouchily, "Its not like I'm going any where anytime soon."

Bookman then said almost immediately after, "You've broken into this headquarters before. Why did you?"

Masque sighed, "There was something of importance I needed to find. Can I go now?"

Bookman simply shook his head and started to talk again, "You stole something from the laboratory. We need it back. Where is it?"

"Could you be a bit more descriptive? I have many items that I've taken over the years, so I don't want to give you something cursed," replied Masque with sarcasm.

"Hmph." *Oliver whispered, bumping her shoulder.*

*Kaele literally growled with anger, Oliver was acting like such a child! She then muttered threateningly,* "Shuddup, Oliver."

*He was silent. Kaele grinned, and scooted across the wall steathily to eavesdrop better.*

"It was a small green eyepiece Komui had been studying to better help the Black Order." spoke Bookman bluntly.

"Oh. That trinket. I remember now. I had it when I was in that lake before I got frozen and knocked unconscious. So that means its probably in that cave somewhere. Why don't you let me go so I can go check." spoke Masque in a very underhanded tone.

*Meanwhile, in his tank, Masque was making gestures as though he were choking and banged on the glass, getting the attention of Jacob who rushed over to see what was wrong. Masque appeared to have a plan of some sort.

Bookman was getting annoyed at his antics. If he wasn't going to answer about the stolen item, then perhaps he might answer about his ability to live through the mask.*

"What about your mask? How can you live in it?" asked Bookman, hoping to get something useful out of him.

(( Just saying, I read your message on dA about RPing as Bookman. Do you think I have the skills to sound like a man with that big of a vocabulary??? But I will try in the next message after Masque replies. ; o; ))

*Kaele leaned in for the answer; she'd been curious about it too. Oliver, who was pouting, stayed quiet. It seemed as though he was waiting for an answer too. Although outside there was patients and nurses and doctors conversing and machines beeping, the room they were inside seemed like noisy silence for the answer.*

((Its not all that big. Just talk slow, wise, and grumpy and you've got Bookman.))

"Well, within it contains my soul if you must know. Therefore its impertinent that it stays intact." answered Masque, though he didn't tell anyone what they already didn't know.


*Meanwhile, Jacob quickly drained the tank and took Masque out of it, placing him on a gurney. He started rolling Masque to the Examination Room. ((where everyone else currently is))*

"So, Mister Masque. Where else have you obtained your... Unique items?" *Bookman asked, his hands inside his sleeves, speaking to the intricate mask.*

"The better question is, where haven't I? I've explored quite a bit of this vast world. And I continue to plan doing so." Masque said as Jacob quickly wheeled the gurney into the room near where Bookman and Masque's mask was, "Speaking of which."

*Masque then grabbed his mask, placed it on his face, and hopped over Jacob like it was a game of leap frog before bolting to the door. Jacob shouted in confusement, not expecting to be used as a pole vault by the one whose life he was attempting to save.*

"I'd stay and chat, but I've got better places to be." he said as he looked back smiling before he ran into the hallway and grabbed his stuff.


*Meanwhile, Sparks and Kimiko had just gotten past the security desk and into the Innocence Wing, now safe from Nikola. Sparks still held the cake Jerry had given them.*

"Hmph." *Bookman said, disgruntled, yet with an expression that made it seem like he was waiting for Masque to bolt off.*

"Oi oi!" *Kaele exclaimed, still fervently curious about it all. Invoking her flames, she whipped her hands towards the floor, throwing flames underneathe her feet. The blue fire morphed into what looked like a snowboard of some type, but Kaele used it to glide inches atop the laminate. She leaned forward, thrusting the fire-board into the other room after Masque. She caught up with ease, running off the board as the flames wooshed back underneath her over-sized sleeves*

"I want more answers! Please?" *She begged.*

Kimiko looked over at the cake, smiled, and reached out for it.

"Sparks-san, I'll take it for you. Just tell me where I have to put it."

She turned her head for a moment, feeling oddly distracted. Weird...am I hearing things? Then a question suddenly popped into her head.

"Ah, that's right! We need to see how Masque-san is doing. He was speaking, but I want to know myself if his body if functioning right." By the end of her setence, it sort of felt like she was just talking to herself. She felt a little sheepish, but didn't show it.

"I'm sorry, but I really must get going. People to see, and things to 'find'!" Insisted Masque as he used his staff to enhance his speed as the zoomed toward the exit.

"Oh, sure. Here, just place it-" spoke Sparks as he gave the cake to Kimiko.

*Within a matter of moments, Masque had knocked down Sparks and Masque was gone.*

"What the hell just happened?!" shouted Sparks as he sat up on the floor, pissed and confused. Then he noticed that, in the distance, Masque's tank was empty and grumbled, "It was him wasn't it?"

*Kaele was taken off guard, and by the time she'd gotten to the end of the hall on her flame-board, Masque was gone. She growled unconciously, the light blue flames turning darker with her temper.*

"He just left!" *She snapped towards the empty hallway, flicking her wrists. The flames were sucked back underneath her sleeves, but she was too upset to control them enough to deactivate them. Kaele could feel her blood getting hot underneath her skin from anger.*

Kimiko held the cake in her arms, blinking at Sparks, a shocked expression on her face. What...just happened? One moment he was handing her the cake and the next, he was on the ground, having been run over by a mysterious someone, swearing.

"Ah, S-Sparks-san! Are you alright?" she asked, trying to snap herself out of her confused state. And when Sparks said "him" did he mean....Masque-san? She turned to look at the tank - it was empty. A sinking feeling dragged her heart down and she let out a sigh.

Someone else had ran past them as well, but she didn't catch a glimpse of the person's face.

*Sparks stood up a vein popping out of his head as he made strangling gestures with his hands.*

"I swear I'm going to kill him the next time we meet." he grumbled to himself as he stormed into the wing before pausing and looking at Kimiko, "I need to calm down. I can't work this stressed. Want to have that cake now?"

*Within a few minutes, Jacob ran toward them.*

"Damn. He tricked me." he said in a mildly upset way as he looked toward the hallway.

Kimiko smiled sheepishly at Sparks. Eating cake to get rid of his anger? He sounded like a teenage girl who was either heart-broken or PMSing. The thought just made her small smile grow.

"Um, well..." she began, but Jacob came by before she finished her thought.

"Tricked...? So that was Masque-san?" she asked.

*Kaele pouted, crossing her arms. She glanced behind herself at the conversation Mr Sparks, a nurse, and a little kid were having. Being PO-ed, she decided to butt-in.*

"Masque just ran off, claiming he had more items to find!" *Kaele exclaimed, answering the young nurse's question. The flames on her arms were just barely visible outside of her uniform, causing her sleeves to glow unnaturally indigo.*

*at the time Yan was still agents the wall "please calm down Kaele, Masque is probable angry at Book-man and if not then I don't know why he walked off like that" Yan said calmly as she turned and looked at Kaele*

"I know why he did it, I'm just angry he did it!!" *Kaele snapped, punching the wall. With her Innocence invoked, she accidentally made a hole and didn't even get a scratch. Her eyes became wide, with a nervous smile. She could feel Mr Sparks' unapproving glare.* "Uh, I didn't, mean, err..."

*She began to wonder if Allen was home, he could calm her down. But she felt that she couldn't leave yet, she could wait just a little longer before she left.*

Sparks looked away from Kaele and pointed his finger into the air, "Cake time!"

*He then walked nearby, and, from a cabinet, grabbed some paper plates, napkins, forks, etc.*
