odd places (Japan's Forest)

"Baka..." *Kanda muttered in an angsty tone. He rolled Isaac off of his right shoulder, handing him to Yan. Kanda wanted to make sure he could use his right arm to unsheathe Mugen.*

*Kanda figured they were somewhere near Kusatsu, but there was definitely something different about this area. He deducted that there was either an Innocence or tons of akuma making sure that they couldn't leave. He was a little curious to what Yan had meant about her flute, but honestly didn't give a crap.*

*Yan grabbed Isaac then put him on her shoulder then sighed then said "sorry, for what i have said" know her probable didn't care if she said that or not then thought that he must not like her at all*

"Hmph." *Kanda was trying to make his way back to the village where Yan and Kaele had been before, but no matter which direction he went, he always came back to where they had fought that akuma. He got frustrated; Kaele's power to walk on air would have been very helpful at this moment, but she was in no condition for an invokation. He didn't know much about Yan's Innocence, but he didn't want to have to listen to anyone talk. Kanda convinced himself that listening to the annoying girl was the only way to get out.*

"Hey, baka." *He said bluntly, turning around quickly. He re-adjusted the girl on his shoulders, she was still out cold.* "What power does your Innocence possess?"

"it's Yang, . .some powers I yet to uncover, but sins my Innocince runs throw my blood so I could cure people for a limited time. . "Yan posed thinking she said to much then started to doubt her self when she said " you probably don't care about my Innocince, this time it might be useless" Yan then looked down and bit her lib a bit wile her hair covered her eyes feeling useless as well, she hated to be useless no mater what the conditions were*

*Kanda blew air through his teeth, making an audible hissing sound that sounded morphed with some sort of hmph. He didn't know what to do, and Yan was no help at all. The confusion only put him in a worse mood than what he was already in.*

"Nnn..." *Kaele stirred, puckering her lips, but didn't open her eyes. Kanda prayed that she would wake up and help because she was just dead weight on his shoulders unconcious. Sadly, her lips went limp and Kanda felt like he lost his mind.*

"I SWEAR TO GOD I'M GOING TO CUT DOWN THIS ENTIRE FORREST!!!" *Kanda shouted, rolling Kaele against his chest and holding her down with his left arm. He unsheathed Mugen, unleashing his insect illusion upon a row of trees above Yan's head. He was furious, and hoped to scare Yan half to death while cutting a path through the trees instead of around them.*

*Yan didn't move all she did was continue to look down getting even more up set she then heard something in the distends "calm down baka" Yan said turning around looking over to were kanda attacked the trees getting suspicious like something was there but she was not sure*

*Out of the distance an old man appeared. He was somewhat tall, but scrawny. He came closer.*

"Its no use to struggle. It'll only tire you out. The trees come back the same way the paths do." Spoke the man wary of the sword swinging idiot.

*Yan turned to the old man "or we have just bin walking around in an illusion "Yan said thinking then she noticed that the old man looked at kanda oddly " don't worry about him" she said turning her head and looked back at Kanda*

"If it was, then those creatures you fought could have just flown out of here." Responded the man solemnly, "They'd been lost out here for about a week. Luckily, they didn't see me."

*Kanda looked pissed at this point. He was being talked down to by an old stick of a man.*

"Baka. They were being told where to go by a damned Eye Akuma." scolded Kanda.

The man just shook his head, "If thats the case, why didn't they get out?"

"those things are called Akuma, and they can't disobey orders from some one of a higher state" Yan said as she looked at the old man oddly "they would only go after us . . .manly . . "she said looking away*

"Stupid old man. How the hell do we get out of here?" *Kanda asked coldly. Kaele, who was still against his chest, nestled closer and wrapped her legs around his back for support. Kanda blushed, slightly (but a lot for him), but tried to keep his cold composure.*

"I wish I knew, but for now the youngin' should be taken care of." said the old man as he turned around and headed for a nearby bush.

*He plucked some leaves from it and stuffed them in a pack he wore around his waist.*

"What the hell do you mean, old man?" *Kanda snapped, thinking the leaf was poisonous.*

"She looks like she's hurt." responded the man, "So I'm gathering some Aloe from here to tend to her wounds. I've been here 3 years and learned that there ain't no hospital 'round here, so I had to tend my own wounds."

*Kanda was tired of all this dribble, but at the same time, Kaele was no use as a dead weight. He placed her down gently and looked at the old man.*

"Fine." barked Kanda, "But if you hurt her in anyway, your a dead man."

*The man nodded as he took a bowl from his pack and placed the leaves into it. He the began to crushing it into a paste.*

*Kanda crossed his arms, watching the man to make sure he wasn't going to do something weird to her. He had to admit it, Kaele didn't look that good. She must be some newbie for getting her ass handed to her by that stupid akuma. He thought to himself. But, she is a girl and this is maybe her 3rd mission... In the end, he didn't really decide to forgive her that much, but just a little.*

*Soon the paste was ready and he went to approach Kaele, but as he stepped closer Kanda seemed to drift in the man's way, forcing him to sidestep Kanda. He grunted as the old man began applying the aloe to Kaele's wounds.*

"This aught to help her." said the man after he finished.

*Kanda wasn't happy about this random stranger taking care of Kaele. When she cringed unconciously because of the cool aloe on her open wounds, Kanda got jumpy and began to unsheathe Mugen.*

"Stupid old man..." *Kanda muttered under his breath. He was feeling better once Mugen's blade was right behind the man's neck, where if the man made one bad move, the old man wouldn't be able to make another one.*

"Put that away. She's got a slight fever and is shivering from the coldness of the area. There's a stream somewhere that way." said the old man as he pointed behind him. "If you soak a cloth we can try bringing it down."

*He finished applying the aloe and stood up. Then cracked his back.*

"Baka. What are you waiting for?" asked the man as he flung a towel-like cloth made of fur at Kanda.

*Kanda wasn't keeping the rage of his face when he caught the fur cloth on his chest. This stupid old man had called him an idiot. Kanda had the feeling someone was going to die, but he walked in the direction the man had pointed him in so that Kaele wouldn't be that person.*

"Goddamn old bastard..." *He muttered under his breath while soaking the cloth. When he walked back, he saw the man sitting on the ground next to Kaele's right side while Yan was silently observing from a foot away. Kanda grumpily threw the soaked cloth at the old man's head, making a low slap sound. Then he quietly sulked over to Kaele's left side without a word.*

"Baka! I'm not the one who needs it!" shouted the old man angrily as he walked over to Kaele and places the towel gently over her forehead. Then he shouted grumpily "Since you obviously don't need any help, I guess I'll be going! Damn youngin's!"

*He then started trudging off away from the group.*

"Like I'd throw it at her..." *Kanda mumbled grumpily while the old man exasperatedly placed the towel on her forehead and left.*

*Kanda sighed. He walked over near to Kaele's left ear and waited for her to wake up.*

*Yan watched the old man making sure he wouldn't do any thing strange; she then sat down and started to feel sad so she sighed*

"Hmph." *Kanda knew they were vulnerable, just sitting around, waiting for her to wake up. But he also knew there was no use in wasting energy walking nowhere. He scanned the area for anything he hadn't seen yet, but made no progress. The only thing that wasn't a regular Japanese forest was Yan sitting on the rock, looking rather depressed. Of course, Kanda didn't give a damn and looked right by.*

*Yan looked at Kaele then said to Kanda "it bugs me that the old man was not consumed by the mist, what do you think Kanda?" it seamed that he was already looking at her*

"Che." *Kanda mumbled, not in the mood to talk with the annoying girl. He stood up and began to pace between two sakura trees, waiting for anything.*

"Nnnn..?" *Kaele murmured, her eyes glazed over with water because of the bright sun. Kanda sighed in his usually grumpy manner.*

*He silently helped her up. Then he opened his mouth and spoke bluntly;* "We need you to scan the area to find a way out, got it?"
